New Year, NEW YOU and Goals for a Healthier 2020

For us, the new year signals a time for a fresh start and goal setting. In the past our goals would be based on business, personal or financial growth. However, this year after a few situations that have happened in our lives we are switching things up and making our physical health the number one and ONLY goal! We want it to be yours too, so we are starting with small realistic steps. So, here’s our easy peasy and attainable health goals.

  • 30 minutes a day of moving our body, whether it be walking the stairs in our house or walking the mall late at night or following a YouTube video work-out routine – 30 minutes of moving whatever it may be.

  • Reducing our daily sugar intake and removing pop and juice drinks as a first step and drinking only water during the day.

  • Following up and making sure we are up to date on all our doctors and specialist appointments. We would always put our work first… not this year!

For those of you living with diabetes or know someone who is, some of these new year goals can include re-evaluating how you monitor glucose levels which can be sometimes a nuisance.

To start 2020 on the right foot we recommend looking into the FreeStyle Libre flash glucose monitoring system from Abbott, which means you no longer need to finger prick[1] to check glucose levels. All you need to do is scan your sensor with the FreeStyle LibreLink app[2].

Technology has come so far and it’s amazing the advances that have been made when it comes to glucose monitoring. We love sharing this with you because we know this will help you or someone you know out there that has diabetes.

Hands up if you are with us!

Now tell us below 1 health goal you have…. You can even copy one of ours from above.
